Big City Mountaineers is a charity organization that inspires meaningful connections in the great outdoors. By providing free, fully outfitted, and professionally led outdoor and backcountry trips, Big City Mountaineers offers youth ages 12 to 18 the opportunity to connect with nature and strengthen their communities, skills, and resilience.

Big City Mountaineers engages young people in five regions across the country, including New England, Colorado, Minnesota, San Francisco Bay Area, and the Pacific Northwest. The organization’s approach breaks down barriers of access to the outdoors for youth, providing them with the tools and resources to experience nature and develop important life skills.
