About Scarpa
Scarpa is an Italian company that specializes in manufacturing outdoor shoes for various activities including mountaineering, climbing, trail running, trekking, hiking, ski mountaineering and telemark.
Established in 1938 in Asolo, in the Treviso area, Scarpa was originally known as Società Calzaturieri Asolani Riuniti Pedemontana Anonima, which gave rise to its acronym SCARPA. Scarpa has business offices in Italy, USA, Germany and China and production facilities in Romania, Serbia and China.
Despite having production facilities in multiple countries, Scarpa still maintains a significant portion of its production (70%) in Italy, where it was originally founded.
