About COLMAR
COLMAR, a brand owned by Manifattura Mario Colombo, was founded in Monza, Italy in 1923. Initially specializing in gaiters, hats, and work overalls, COLMAR later shifted its focus to producing highly resistant padded garments, paving the way for its entrance into the world of ski wear. By the 1950s, the brand had solidified its connection with the sport, becoming a point of reference in the world of technical clothing for not only skiing but also golf and sporty, urban outerwear. Sport, style, and innovation have been the pillars of COLMAR since its inception in 1923.
In addition to owning the COLMAR brand, Manifattura Mario Colombo has been the distributor of the French brand LACOSTE clothing in Italy since the late sixties, managing a portion of LACOSTE’s network of boutiques in Italy as well. The company’s headquarters remain in Monza, where around 250 employees work alongside members of the third and fourth generations of the Colombo family, who still own 100% of the company.
